SAT

The SAT is a test used by many universities in the U.S. to help them decide which students they want.

SAT is short for “Scholastic Aptitude Test”. The test measures students’ ability to read and write as well as their math level. These are the basic skills students will need to be successful at an American university.

The test is created and marked by an American organization called the College Board.

Are you hoping to apply to a university in the U.S.? If so, then you will likely have to take the SAT.

Taking the SAT is the first step in finding the perfect university for you -- the place where you can best develop your skills and knowledge, pursue your passions, and take a major step forward towards your future career.

The higher you score in your SAT, the better the university you can apply for!

Whygo can help you achieve the best SAT score that it is possible for you to get. This will allow you to apply to the university that is the best academic fit for you.

However, it is important to note that SAT scores are just one of several factors that universities consider when making decisions about admissions. In addition, you will need a high GPA, a good TOEFL score, a Statement of Purpose, etc. Depending on which major you choose, you may also have an interview and need to produce additional materials such as sample essays, a portfolio, or even a short film.

Whygo can help you with the entire application process. Our foreign trainers and editors have helped students study at some of the best universities in the world including Harvard, Cambridge, Columbia, and Duke. Just ask your Whygo consultant which services are best for you.

The SAT is 3 hours long without the optional Essay. With the Essay, the test will take 3 hours 50 minutes. Your Whygo consultant can help you determine whether you need to write the Essay or not.

Interview & Level Test:

If you are interested in the SAT course, we will first offer you a meeting with an experienced Whygo consultant who will sit with you to understand your target and deadlines as well as explain our products and services. Whygo consultants have studied abroad and hold degrees from prestigious universities worldwide, so they know very well what you need to succeed.

After the initial meeting, Whygo will offer you the opportunity to meet an experienced foreign trainer who will professionally evaluate your current level and explain exactly what you need to reach your goals.

Study plan:

Using the information you provide in your interview along with the results from your level test, Whygo consultants will work with our experienced foreign trainers to prepare your personalized study plan.

By creating a study plan for each student, we save your time and money because we listen to you to work out exactly what you need to achieve your target.

Our consultants will then follow your progress and adjust your study plan if necessary to ensure that you reach your goals.

Teaching style:

Whygo courses are in small groups of generally 4 to 6 people so each student has time to speak and interact with our highly-skilled foreign trainers and can receive immediate feedback on how they are doing.

Classes are delivered in the Western Style of Teaching. Students participate, talk, and write in class. Classes are NOT in the traditional Chinese Style where the teacher talks for 3 hours and the students say nothing, just listen, and hand in homework.

At Whygo, we adapt our lessons to the particular group of students in front of us. What we care most about is whether students are actually learning what they need to in class. Our concern is always how ready and able you are to pass your test.

Whygo trainers provide the best value for your money. We do not simply “play the CD for one hour” in the class or ask you to “read a book for two hours” like elsewhere. Classes at Whygo are dedicated to direct teaching and practicing with the trainer (self-study is done in the study center!).

Study Center:

The SAT is not easy! You need to devote some time to studying on your own.

Whygo has a beautiful and spacious study center where students can study at any time . It has all the books and learning resources you need as well as desktop computers and a printing service. A foreign trainer is regularly available to answer questions and make sure you are on the right track. Students can also practice speaking together and help each other with tips and tricks about the test. The study center is an English-only environment where students have a great time studying and interacting with each other over a cup of tea or coffee. Our students and staff are like a small family who understand and support one another throughout their test preparations.

Success:

Our methods are very efficient and effective, which saves you time and money . Students who follow their study plan and who come to all their classes will reach their goal. Our success rates are higher than many of the “big name” schools.
